What is your top pick for a new ranger pet? For me, it would have to be a Griffon! Who wouldnt like a giant flying animal as their pet?

No griffon. Why?

1) it does not fly. Birds don’t fly. They “hover”. If they could fly they could scale wvw walls.

2) weak pet idea. Basilisk is much much better (stun ray)

I don’t care about looks. I want powerful, functional pets.

An Asura warrior/guardian so I might actually be of use for my party in dungeon environment.

The real marsh drakes like they were in beta. ‘Scaled’ drakes now. For god sakes Anet, at least change the pet icon so I don’t have to cry every time I see it thinking about how it’s supposed to be.

Minotaur pet, Quaggan pet, giant wasp pet

I kind of like the Wargs. But otherwise, just a bulkier cat model than just leopard/jaguar etc-style.

I think the raptors would be a good pet to have. I also think grubs would be pretty funny to drag around.

Best pet would be a Troll pet.

They got Knockdown, daze, self health regen, cripples / immobilize. And they are a bit tanky.

Gimme a gryphon. I don’t care what it’s stats or skills are. I’ll run it anyways.

Land shark. For real, not a glitch. Its stats are basically the same as a drake, except it has higher power and is single target. The feeding frenzy F2 is a lot of fun. And it’s such a great model we should be allowed to show it off to more people than we meet in the few underwater encounters.

I want a pet can transform adult form, a more powerful and practical skills

Someone said it already but I’ve always wanted a Basilisk.

These guys look awesome. Personally, I’d be fine if they just re-skinned wolves to look like this.

Isn’t the wargs what is on the Sic em! tooltip anyway? Something like it!

Griffon and Basilisk is what I want. The pet Basilisk getting its Petrify attack on F2 would probably be overpowered though. My guess is that it’d need to be toned down to Immobilize.

Jormag, or maybe Tequatl … actually I’d like them both, and they can double as my flying mount.

Definitely give me all of the corrupted skin creatures. Corrupted Wolf please. It can give torment AOE.

But I’ll definitely take a Risen Giant. Because eff realistic goals.

they should have rather low stats, but have the ability to dodge here and then (chance to dodge do increase with traited beastmastery)
their F2 ability should give you and nearby allies vigor.

i wonder what it sounds like, if you would press F2 on that pet.

Horses are mentioned in one of the books, but they don’t appear in-game, no.
