New Ranger player looking for advice.
Something i find very helpful, is the use of a Superior sigil of cleansing. The only thing it does is clean one condition on weapon swap, but that’s about all you need.
I run with LB/GS in full zerk build, and believe me, that cleansing has saved my life more often then i can count. Both weapons have that sigil in em and it doesn’t matter which weapon i’m using, i can always remove a condition and get out of trouble when the need arises.
My prediction is that condition management will become more of an issue in the HoT expansion, well, as far as i know oc.
p.s. : instead of using the force sigils for more dmg, use the cleansing, in your case i suspect it to be more of a gain then a loss.
p.s2 : almost forgot : you can simply do a test : get some cheap LB/GS, add those sigils, and go into SW where mobs can poison or lock you, see how well you can clean and get away, it’s the same principle.

Glassbow is always going to be a subject for conditions. There is no way to deal with them, honestly.
What you might find useful is the Fury variation, that sacrifices points in Skirmishing to gain access of Survival of the Fittest. That way you’ll gain much more condi removal, reliable, on demand, and you will not be glued to signets anymore. Muddy Terrain, Lightning Reflexes, Entangle – all of that are wonderful tools that you’ll definitely like in your bar.
And you still can use 1 ability for a signet, be it Stone or Renewal – depending on what gives you more trouble.
if u wanna do glassbow, go valk armor with zerker trinkets and weapon. you can also go 6/0/2/6/0 sotf build which will make you fairly competent against condis, and your damage will remain huge. overall, you’ll be able to do a lot more with this build.
soon, these builds wont matter. in HoT, LB rangers will be very strong with 3 GM’s. you’ll actually be super tanky with 6/6/6/0/0 and the right gear. so I wouldn’t stress about finding the perfect build right now.
Mostly you don’t with that build. That’s a full zerg build IMO although good players might be able to pull it off. If roaming try SotF ranger or empathic bond. Imo survival is better. If zerging you don’t need condi removal anyway. Unless you are very good you are going to be utterly obliterated. That being said if you engage from 1500 range, play your CC right etc.. you can pull out a win vs a subpar/unaware condition build. Trick si to chain everything you have. PBS, stealth, wolf KD and fear, spider immob etc…
You’re going to need to outplay them hard and abuse your range. Most condition builds have pathetic range but once they get close… well GG.
Also signet of renewal is trash and sigil of force is a dps loss vs sigil of air.
Your not supposed to survive. You are supposed to keel over on fire bleeding from multiple places and let out a loud shriek while the poison eats kitten in your stomach!
All joking aside, I think your best bet is to trait 6 into nature magic, so you’ll have condition removal on demand. You might want to have a look at Lyssa runes, as an alternative, with grasping vines, along with healing spring, but you’ll have to be quick as you’ll only get two complete cleanses that way.
