Is it safe to say the new Read the Wind 10% attack speed increase roughly translates to a 10% damage buff, meaning it will outpace the 5% damage buff from Eagle Eye (obviously ignoring the range increase)?

nope its an attack speed it’ll shave off 10% of the animation time of each Lb Attack.
its faster but not more damage.
the 10% attack speed is a dps increase.

not exacly, it doesnt scale with stats like x% damage buff and it doesnt effect the maximum damge of skills like barrage or rpaid fire(the skills activation time will be faster)
But it doesnt matter, the traits doesnt compete, Eagle Eye 4 trait, Read the Wind 6 trait, take both. when zerg change 1 to piercing arrows depends on your build( read the wind most likely) When Pve take the new tait the realy buffs your damge by 10% and 5% to pet.

not so strong in math but due to crit damge multiplies i think attack speed creates a linear growth of damage while +% base damge scales with multiplies and creates parabolic growth of damge. pls correct me if i wrong…
also, i also explaied that a skill like barage that fires arrows for 5 sec will still fire arrows for 5 sec it will only have faser activation time but with damage buff the barrage base damage will be 5% stronger.

eagle eye increases all Lb attacks by 5% , if you take onslaught trait , those barrage arrows will also do 10% more damage after the first volly(first volly needed to apply cripple) so the damage might seem like its increasing but its just the traits kicking in if you choose those traits.
though i found it fun to chain muddy terrain then barrage.

with the attack speed of Rtw it may seem like it does more damage but it doesn’t it just gives the target less time to gain hp through regen pips and lands more accurately effectivly a dps increase but not total damage.

(pre patch) a minor part of the LB rapid fires damage was generaly obsorbed through hp regen Because of the Long channel , so at the end it did overall less damage.

but with the attack speed its placebo effect, post patch now does its damage fast enough to seem like it does more because there is less time to regen pip hp.
aka should now force people to dodge/ do somthing rather than just taking the damage and regenerating.

Seems to be some confusion between the terms Damage and DPS. An attack speed increase DOES increase DPS but does not increase Damage.

DPS wise, RtW should give more than Eagle Eye because even though each individual hit isn’t buffed you will get more hits in over time.

What you ask in your post is about Damage, and since RtW doesn’t buff damage, Zenos is correct.
What I am pretty sure what you want to be asking is about DPS, even though you say Damage in your post, which means yes you’re correct, RtW is better.

No. It doesn’t reduce your cooldowns by 10%, so it’ll only be a 10% damage increase to long range shot.
