Can we a get a new Trait that procs Stealth on the pet whenever the Ranger is Stealthed? There’s been way too many times I have Stealthed so I can peel away from a skirmish to LOS/hide/escape and the pet always gives away my location or direction I’m heading.
Not a trait please. Just add functionality to make pets stay on their current location as soon as the ranger goes into stealth, then runs to the ranger when stealth wears off. All pet control mechanics should be able to override this functionality, and this only applies when pet is not attacking.
I actually think all buffs, boons and modifiers should be passed onto pet as well.

There’s no reason for Rangers to have 25% of existence glued onto a target that doesn’t scale and is rather a nuisance instead of help in many occasions.

I just don’t think you would always want your pet to stealth when you do, unless it would be working like the jaguar.

Why not?
If it attacks the stealth would break like nothing happened. If you kept it on passive – it wouldn’t give away your location. No harm done at all.
I think this functionality could be easily rolled into Fortifying Bond. Maybe we could share other things like superspeed with our pet too.

If nothing else changed I think this is a problem in WvW where your pet is constantly dead (which is the most common situation where your pet tells away your position).
If your pet is dead – there’s no way to force him stop following you. Also, it’s a bad design to sacrifice your pet in order to stealth away. No one else has to suffer with this kind of trade-off or unreliable design.

Lots of people end up dead trying to get away from a skirmish. Hardly something to worry about balancing to make easier.

defo agree with you there , other class F mechanics Benifit from Durations/boon duration bonuses and condi durations , since pets don’t have Runes ect nor can use stats to improve boon and condi duarations so they can’t be Over scaled ether.
