It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
Ok, so I was doing Tequatl last night, and I noticed that the zerg stands right near his right foot during the initial burn.
I was playing my ranger, and got back and to the left of the zerg a little bit, and suddenly was doing double damage with longbow.
Had “Lead the Wind” trait equipped, which causes arrows to pierce. So I was hitting both his foot, and his head.
During the second and third burns, I went back to the same spot for double damage, and was hitting a total of ~34k with rapid fire (~17k each spot), with no might.
I think this may be my new spot for teq.
Check it out yourselves at let me know what you think. I was certainly doing much more damage back there, then up with the zerg on melee.
Not exactly new, we’ve been able to do that forever with piercing arrows, by targeting its head and also hitting the leg, but good find.
I’ve always gone for double leg but thats more cuz I’m too lazy to target his head ;P Yeah there has never been any reason for ranger to melee this boss.
Yeah, that is not really a new thing.
If you target the head and move towards the back of the right leg you’ll get to that spot, it worked with piercing arrow before the update and it still works now.
Another good part of that “trick” is that if you attack only the head your pet won’t attack Teq, you need to target leg, press F1 and then target head again (or use barrage and make sure to hit the leg), but if you are also hitting the leg then the pet starts to attack automatically.
