As i was duelling 1 of my guildies (me on my necro and he on his ranger) , everytime he used his greatsword skill number 4 skill Counterattack he could block all incoming attacks for the duration of that skill, because if u dont stand in melee combat he can block everything, now the thing is, i used the Trait “VII Greater Marks Increases area of marks and marks become unblockable.”but he was still able to block every mark and incoming attack, so is this meant to be overpowerd or is this just broken? because i’d like to see some fixes, or in the necro trait or in that Counterattack skill, because how it works right now is just rediculous.

LB1 arrow flies so slow that you can kite it by just walking sideways.
Necro´s Axe1 always hits (except for evades)… is this meant to be overpowered or is this just broken?

Uh lb is pretty impossible to kite unless you’re pretty far away. Have you ever seen has slow the warrior lb auto travels?

It sounds like an error with the trait. Send a support ticket in letting them know the skill was blocked, and how it was blocked, despite having the trait on.

skill has 12s cd its a plenty of time to kill ranger as he has awful condition removal, roll a warrior or thief, gs 4 doesnt block 100blades or pistol whip or 100 other skills from other classes which he should block ..

Working as intended. The GS block at ranger is a full block just like warrior shield stance. It was meant to be this way and intentionally changed to give rangers a medium of ranged defense.

its not full block as it block only first close hit and then tries to kick off opponent ..which sometimes does not result in counter kick (opponent has no stability on him) and rest of hits go straight to ranger ..

That’s a subtle “fix” I think was added a couple patches ago. It used to be if you were moving, it would continue to block for the full 4 seconds. Now if the attacker is in melee range, I think it does the kick (ending the block) even if you’re moving.

I don’t really see Counterattack being OP. Ranger is pretty thin on damage immunity skills. They get Protect Me (which is bugged like Sic’ em and cancels if you use another shout or give the pet a command), and Signet of Stone of they take a GM trait. The block in Counterattack is a badly needed third option if you don’t want to use a utility skill slot or a GM trait+utility skill slot.

That said, the ground field effects are supposed to be unblockable, including the necromancer marks with that trait. However, looking through the wiki I see that like the ranger traps, the marks also have a direct damage component in addition to the condition damage. Are you sure you aren’t just seeing the damage component being blocked, while the condition component gets applied? That’s what happens with ranger traps. I toss a fire trap on a blocking warrior and I’ll see the block messages as he blocks the direct damage, but the burning damage still gets applied.
