2k condi dmg before stacks, 3k armor, and a ranger with 24k health? Not to mention very high protection uptime, and the evade spam. Your spider can put out 12 seconds of immobilize, forcing people to sit through your entire bonfire and allowing you to quickly put on your condi burst.

Perma weakness from axe 3, bark skin, and protect me combined with your high passive defenses make it impossible for any power build to kill you. Empathatic bond and signet of renewal make it impossible for any condi build to kill. Combine this all with your stupid high amount of condition dmg and youve got an extremely powerful roaming/1vX build.

I meant you can trade bark skin and bond depending on who you’re fighting. I also meant to post 20/0/30/10/10 youre right i dont use spirits. As for jungle spiders immob, look at the tooltips. And what exactly can eat this alive?

Rangers are UP, there are one or two broken builds (condi-spirit bunker and spirit bunker) that make them appear balanced and competitive to Anet. Have you tried a cat/bird in your build? then you will get arround 30% of a berserkers damage

Rangers have 1~2 great duelists build, and pretty much nothing else.
Those builds in a zerg fight won’t be useful, in open world PvE is almost useless, in dungeons if you are the only cond build can work but is far from be optimal, and in PvP you just can’t even make it.

Sure a badly played ranger is UP. But so is any other class. This build well played is next to god tier. I run a raven as my off pet but ive been experimenting with the lightning drake lately. As soon as i see them take a spider immob ill swap pets, drop a bonfire on them, and point blank split blade. Thats my standard burst combo

So you plan to duel opponents knowing beforehand what they do? well ok then you can swap otherwise it will be impossible obviously, spider tooltip will be showing your extra condition duration without having it just look before and after eating food and you’ll see it, warrior will eat it alive bow/s+s does it with ease, that’s not to say this is a bad build I run a similar thing myself I know it’s strong but it’s definetly not OP.

Yeah you can. Its he same thing as swapping signet of the hunt before a fight to something more useful, or switching for that extra condi clear when you see that engi coming around the corner.
