So with Remorseless now granting a 25% bonus to opening strikes and refreshing on receiving FURY…
Any bet on whether there will be a new one shot build?
I kinda liked that video way back then with the norn ranger popping SotH and Bear Form charging at people and smashing them around for 23k damage + launch effect in one package. Any hope for something like that? Maybe double maul with quickness and some instant source of fury to refresh remorseless?

Assuming you have OS up, you could weapon swap to GS to trigger -66% recharge, then, SoTH, SoTW, maul, trigger MoC with hilt bash, Pet swap to trigger Beastmasters Bond and therefore Remorseless with zephyrs speed then maul again. Absurdly hard to connect with it all, but it would do insane dmg, even with none of the other modifiers up.

A thought though.. They will have to put an ICD on Remorseless because otherwise you could just use RaO and get fury every 3s… plus other fury sources (not least Two-Handed Training and cleaving with a GS) you could easily be getting +25% every other attack, possibly every attack with some luck.

lol yeah, when i suggested remorseless refreshes on fury like 2 weeks ago i even said to slap an ICD of like 15s on it knowing the shear amount of fury we have access to.

They should make it 10s ICD to have total synergy with 2h Training imo.

Bearform still works (15-26k).
You can currently one-shot glassy builds with LB autoattack if you pop signets and proc fire+air sigil too (around 9k+2k+2k)
Signet + maul can potentially one-shot too.

The new traits gonna make 1-shotting more consistent

Well, back in the old days, I was on my way to create a ranger named “Nordvald the Naked” and run around naked, oneshotting people… I had him levelled to about level 30, when news came in, that the damage scaling of elite morph skills gets changed to heavily depend on the player’s attributes…
Bummer.

Maybe I will again try to create a (clothed) Norn Ranger just for the lulz.
Could give him a druid theme and look to go with the new specialization

There’s a possibility to make it deny ranged projectiles on you and everyone behind you at the same slap. What’s there not to love?
(don’t forget… Lich Form Necros will hate us with every single of their cursed body cells)

At the expense of basically everything else getting worked on it seems. I will be watching to see what they choose to do as it is all a work in progress. With the basic rebuilding of engineer that is going on we can only hope that once that is done they will consider taking that amount of care with all the profession (though experience teaches that ranger will get the short in of the development stick).

You can CC with either pet and/or weapon. You’ll probably get moment of clarity in this build so you can also use shortbow’s Concussion Shot for 2s of stun/daze. Entangle with Krait Runes is also a nice choice (Immob + 3Condis, not many skills remove 4 conditions). Immobilize + Taunt from pet (get QZ over Zephyr’s Speed) is another option. And you can use stealth to your advantage.
Skilled players will see coming anyway.

Numbers will probably change, we will probably get a beta to test this.
