Couple people kept being annoyed I released these videos using PI, so decided to switch it up and not use PI in the entire video….changed some pets around as well for S/G

There is a much faster way to apply bleeds. <grins>

By 40 seconds into the fight, you down a Guardian, who didn’t heal, nor cure conditions. He must have been glass canon spec, which is worthless for a Guardian.

I stopped watching there, and will watch later. I get irritated seeing poorly played toons in videos.

My Guardian can heal far, far, far more than he did. Running a Meditations build you could never kill me one vs one. For that matter it takes full groups over a minute to kill my Guardian.

Was a horrible Guardian.

When I have time later, I’ll watch the rest.

half of those are the cat’s bleeds, and no one will stand still for you in pvp. not sure if youre joking.

i actually run a tanky bleed stacking build in spvp. SB/axe/dagger/cats with improved condi damage. that would be the fastest way to apply bleeds. if you know what youre doing, you should never be wasting utility slot on QZ.

I keep wondering about this, sometimes I think it sounds awesome and sometimes I wonder why I’m considering it, I’d be interested to know how you’ve got on with it.

It was a joke. I would rather use a trap in the place of Sharpening Stones.

Sharpening Stones only really adds about 1680 damage, if none of the bleeds are cured. The way bleeds work, when stacking them, the system is messed up, and you don’t get the full potential of this skill.

Xsorus is a good Ranger no doubt, and don’t think I’m trying to take anything away from his accomplishments.

He did highlight a potential benefit for the Ranger, above the ohter classes. Being able to dodge around, to not trigger Confusion ticks on yourself, and avoid retaliation, while your pet continues to do damage puts us above what other classes suffer against Pain Inverter, and Mesmers.

However, on my server people have begun killing our pets first, so I wonder what would have happened had that Ranger killed Xsorus’s pet first, what the outcome would have been.

The first time I had a Mesmer virtually instantly kill my pet, my mouth hit the floor. As a condition/BM spec, she cut my damage by more than half in a short period of time. Switching pets only bought me two seconds, before it was dead and I was staring at cooldowns.

Since then, it seems to be the normal occurence when roaming solo on my server.

I’ve only had a few people try and actually kill the pet, I mean you waste a lot of DPS by going after him when the ranger can just swap out the pet every 15 seconds if you don’t actually kill it.

I also imagine about the only way to really kill it is by being Glass Cannon Spec, as Condition based won’t put out enough damage in 15 seconds to drop the pet.

Just look at number of people he is fighting that do not have food buff on. Food buffs make a lot of difference. How can so many people run around with out them on.

Yea, that’s what I was doing for some of the video

Other parts I was trying a full offensive setup using the Swamp Drake pet….

I find his F2 to actually be fairly good, mainly because it has a far easier time hitting that the River Drake based on the fact its 900 range vs 600 range.

If River Drake’s range was 900 as well, It’d be a lot more usable..

oh it has nothing to do with that, just the game is growing very boring to me…..I’m hoping the world vs world realm rank system they’re adding will give me a reason to play.

Had the same thing happen yesterday more than once, and make “short period” “instant” very disheartening indeed, I’ve gone from loving pets in every game that has a ranger/hunter with pet to absolutely hating them in gw2 I want to delete them forever cause I feel so gimped by them I cannot express, they are slow at everything they do and die from sneezes.

That’s another one of those abilities that no other class would use because they have clearly superior abilities… but us Rangers.. That’s actually comparable if not better then some of ours rofl.

I got a lot of Burns when I tried it on my warrior..so i’m wondering if its class based far as Conditions are concerned.

Prayer to lyssa is bugged (in a good way). I used it in the past and i noticed a few times i got a bugged protection buff which lasted like 40 seconds. I don’t know how that happened but it was definitely bugged somehow.

I was just thinking that. Fought a Thief a couple of times. Close fights that I won. My Panther ripped him up pretty good. 3rd fight he took the Panther out almost instantly. He won that fight.

Actually they’re killing both, and rather fast. The Mesmer just happened to be the first person to do it to me, and it took me by surprise. Unfortunately our pet dies a lot faster than you might think, and in BM spec, your damage is hurt drastically.

This probably wouldn’t work for a Condition spec, so you’re correct in those regards, but how many classes really run condition specs?

Glass Cannon Specs i’d kill fairly quickly though if I just run my regular build.

Probably why I don’t run into it very often, they don’t have time to do it.

Sometimes I use prayer to Lyssa if I know i’m going to 1v1 a player with little condition removal. They’ll use their one removal on the lyssa condition (lol) and then I proceed to use harder hitting abilities. Also, the boons you get really aren’t that bad. If you’re going to actually use the skill rather than cheese with it like me, it’s actually not too bad with a boon duration / NM build. I was using it with my 30 point NM spirit build at least and I had fun. I think as far as racial abilities go, Prayer to Lyssa is a great example of a good skill. It’s not so great that you have to use it yet it’s not so bad that you’ll never use it. That’s exactly how this was supposed to work. Plus that short CD…wow, that took some getting used to! Ranger utility CDs are never that short.

I’m 50/50 with it as it’s a bit of a lucky dip most of the time, but after testing it again I was more impressed with the results than expected. Definitely would be interesting with a boon duration build as Chopps said.

Make a video of it, it’d be cool to see it in action.

Same, and as a tank spec I love the food that turns my toughness and health into power. Can’t remember it’s name right now.
