Hey guys, been running this build before and after the patch and it still is just fine. Thought I would post my build in case anyone would want to try it out since rangers are “hurting”.

I still use shortbow because the range thing didn’t really effect me unless they are running away further than 900 in which case I just swoop 1100 units and hit them or pull out shortbow afterwards and kill them then. The dmg is still there so its fine.
My pets still do decent dmg although I have noticed a lowering in the burst but I can still drop people with my pets. Ive been using a jaguar and owl after the patch but I’m always changing pets to see what feels best for me, I suggest the same approach for your playstyle.
I feel 800 healing power is the sweet spot so I wanted to do more dmg while still remaining tanky on my ranger. Its more a sustainable damage build, for solo roaming for 5manning assisting in WvW.
If you get in trouble in a 2v1 situation or something swoop out, heal, then GS #4 to block and you are at full health again, can swap back to shortbow and get back into the fight, rinse repeat, just like your typical BM build. This just does a little more damage in my opinion and how I like to play. Just thought I would share. I would make a video if I knew more about editing and stuff like that. Enjoy!
