So no fix for ranger pets insta death in dungeons to AoE then?

this needs to be addressed, even if it’s a pve only change

Use pets with higher toughness. Time your healing and pet swaps intelligently. If it is a boss with massive melee or aoe damage then use spiders and hit them from range.

Pets really are not THAT weak but you can’t just send them off to attack and forget about them. You need to take care of them.

well at least pets hit mobile enemies now. im pretty sure this is just the tip of the iceburg. proper changes are yet to be made. just give it some time and i’m sure Jon will come up with something.

Maybe in another 4 months. As for now, you can use devourers. They’re tanky ranged so they’ll stand in less aoe’s and survive more of the ones they’re in. Still will get merc’d by agony, tho.

Ye ye all true, pets are still too squishy tho.

If your pet is insta dieing to aoe’s your doing it wrong.

Not trying to sound rude…. but its rare for me to lose a pet in boss fight…. and if I do lose a pet its because I wasn’t paying attention.

Your pet is an extention of you. Pet are fine dont put your pet in a situation that you would be hard pressed to survive (without management). The aoe most of you are talking about would kill a player so why are you suprised it kills your pet.

Actually for dungeon’s i set my pet on passive. Also in dungeon’s I use fern wolf(regen) and blue moa (protection), yes it cut’s my damage down but i help mitigate damage. Rarely are my pet’s ever in melee range (F2 &F3 are my favorite pet button’s.

Glasscannon Greatsword warriors also instant die in AoE in dungeons, why would it be different for glascannon pets?
Pick something tanky or ranged for god sake…

Pick a tankier pet what? Have you people even played dungeons? Let alone dungeons on a ranger? And I don’t mean AC / CoF…
