Pet Attribute Bonus and Specialisation
We don’t know yet, but I think every trait that we know today is going to be subject to some sort of editing. Traits will be combined and minors buffed, so I imagine pets will gain at least some stats through those. Maybe more through something like “Rending Attacks: Your pet gains 800 condi power and causes bleeds on crit”.

I was thinking it will be that IF you specialise into beastmastery, you will automatically get the +300 attribute points for the pet and-20% swap CD. I’d also imagine pets will get (hopefully) a base attribute increase like we will.
I’m hoping each pet gets looked at and they have more base attributes rather than the power, precision, toughness, vitality. Would be nice if spiders had their own base condition damage while something like the Fern Hound is the only canine with healing power to have some diversity among pets in the same family besides the skin and F2.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
…“Rending Attacks: Your pet gains 800 condi power and causes bleeds on crit”.
Yup, that sounds like Expertise Training and Rending Attacks, it would be a nice combo, with a corresponding increase to the expertise side. Would be nice if it were are shorter duration bleed and 100% chance on hit. Then usable by any pet.
It is a 6s duration now with no ICD. I’d love to see it become 4s duration with 1s ICD and be on hit rather than on crit. That would be great.

Specializations, Part One: A PrimerEach profession’s attributes will be updated to have half of their functionality be part of a specialization and half of their functionality will be a baseline for that profession. For example, elementalists now have a base attunement recharge of 10 seconds, which is reduced to 8.7 seconds when the arcane specialization is equipped.
This also applies to every other trait line that increases a class-mechanic dependent stat. The moment you choose Beastmastery as one of your 3 core specializations, your pet will get +300 to its attributes. I’m even almost positive that the same is true in terms of condition and boon duration. As in, should you choose Marksmanship you gain +30% condi duration. Not sure here, since they didn’t mention it specifically.
When they said they’re going to separate stats from traits, they were referring to power, precision, crit dmg, toughness, condi dmg, vitality and healing power.
condi duration, boon duration and class-mechanic stats still seem to be connected to their respective trait line, aka core specialization.

Would be good if you could choose one or the other, instead of them still being tied to a trait line, either boost boon duration or condi duration. Defense or offense.

Right now, the top several pet skills aren’t even in the BM line. It’s sort of crap at the moment. I am dying for them to make this a relevant trait line and playstyle.
I wouldn’t bank on that Fluff, unless they have bought some new super AI code…. and it’s actually SEPARATE from the normal mob AI. Which… I highly doubt. Although, I must admit with the new information I am really curious as to what will happenwith a 6/6/0/0/6 build.. I think it might be more DPS than the current 6/6/2/0/0 or 6/6/0/2/0 builds. I think, though, that depending on what they do with spirits, 6/6/0/6/0 might be the way to go for party buffs and still putting out the DPS. As stated in the Jon Peters interview since Specializations are going to center on CC/Support it may be better to go into the 6/6/0/0/6 with the last six being the Druid trait line. I suspect, and again just taking a wild guess here, that Druid support is going to be stronger than what Spirits can/will provide. If such is the case I’ll be running zerker gear, and 6/6/0/0/6. I’ll pick all the traits that increase damage and buff the party through boons. I have a feeling the BM trait bonus will be built into the trait line as a base stat increase.
