Pet Calculator?
Hi, not sure about the calculator, but the Jungle Stalker might buff is a 5 men buff the same as the red moa fury buff, same duration, same cooldown, might roar takes longer to activate, fury>5 might unless you have another source of fury in your party(90% of the time).
It gets very confusing in that the cat does way more damage than a moa, fury doesn’t affect condis, might affects both, etc. Even that the moa has an AoE heal. All of this depends on how many people or pets are affected. Are bone minions affected??
I was hoping there was some calculator that attempted to make sense of it. I already know who I prefer in any given situation but I want to back it up with something, even if I have to fill in some holes.
Also pets can’t crit against world bosses right? So a cat would he a the clear wrong choice against a world boss, unless you factor in the might from a stalker. Etc.

Fair point regarding might affects both damage types. fury= 20% crit change = 420 precision. 5 might = 175 power +175 cond damage = 350 stats combined. 420>350. most PVE groups relay on power much more the con damage. Never hired about the crit on bosses thing, the thumb rule is that cats will kill the target faster then any other pet if you can keep it alive. Drakes are considered to be best PVE pet due to the combination of aoe auto attack, high survivability, ok damage, blast finisher and strong F2(on targets that does not move much).
In my experience birds can kill fastest, can actually manage to hit moving targets too. Eagles are my favourite. Jungle stalker is needed if your party lacks fire fields or other might sources. Red Moa is needed unless you’re running with lots of warriors. I have warhorn for fury backup but most of the time, it’s up anyway.
If you’re not needed for the boons, take 2 birds. Raven has blind, Owl chill, Eagle and Hawk have a 6 second cooldown for a bleed and nice damage ~ if you time well their f2 isn’t slow.
Everyone who responds will have their own favorite pets or experience where a certain pet shines; I’m really just looking for a pure numbers chart.

I don’t think there will be any pure numbers chart, who know’s what the pets doing, nobody can say what percentage of damage the pet should do, sometimes the pet will sit there doing nothing on 80% health (God knows why), sometimes F2 doesn’t even bother, sometimes the pet is away with the fairies.
Good luck with trying to work anything out…………..

I was working on a refreshing the pet damage measurements Dahkeus made, since some pets had their damage nerfed a couple patches ago. I got sidelined with some family issues, but hopefully will finish it by the end of the month.

Well, the logic is right. But the cats (2061 precision) do about twice the DPS of the 1374 precision pets. So even after you subtract criticals (58% * .5 = an extra 29% DPS), the cats still have the best DPS. Birds are about 3/4 the DPS of cats, but also have 2061 precision so scale down the same as cats.

From the tests I’ve done so far, this is almost entirely due to the swiftness buff. If you load Signet of the Hunt or Agility Training, the other pets get almost the same benefit. (I haven’t been able to measure a DPS difference between 20% and 25% speed buffs on the pet. Testing with 33% speed for the time it takes the pet to kill the moving golem is proving to be challenging, but I think I’ve figured out a way. It’ll just take a really long time.)
One issue I’ve come across is that sometimes the F2 skill simply does not work. I hit it multiple times and it never fires. But if I hit it twice rapidly, it goes into a full cooldown, then seems to unstick. Other times it doesn’t queue up on the first F2 (acts like I didn’t hit it), but queues on the second F2. I haven’t been able to reproduce any of these bugs reliably.
