Ohayo!

I am fairly new to ranger and couldn’t find any in-depth info on the bear skill “Defy Pain”.

Does it affect YOU (the player), or the bear only? I find it hard to decipher, and it is hard to tell in combat situations.

its one of the reasons a bear is able to take incredible amounts of punishment without much investment at all. the downsides are that it does crap for damage, and the “Defy Pain” skill is beyond your control to activate, so if you need him to be invuln right away, you may as well just swap him out then.

speaking of which: any chance we could get to see the status of our pet? (boons, conditions, effects, etc.) they could get placed right above the interface with slightly smaller icons, and it would better help with managing our pets.

Wish we could too, but I don’t think ANet would give us thakittens too much clutter in the UI

Also, if the pet skill is ambiguous as to who gets a buff, it will always refer to the pet and never on the ranger (ie. “your next 2 attacks deal weakness” would mean the spider’s next 2 attacks and not the ranger’s)

Haha. Alright. A shame the pet skill descriptions are so vague. Hopefully that will be addressed in some way. Not a biggy to fix text, eh?
