Is there a way to turn pet nameplates on/off ?

If not, are there any plans to add the option ?

So I guess there is no way of turning them off then.

It’s a shame, every nameplates can be turned off except pet names.

Please for the love of the 6 get this option into the game asap! It is easy coding and you can allow pet health bars without worrying about the actual pet names being there. Those should be 2 separate options pet health bars and pet names. This way necromancers and rangers alike could watch their pets health while they fight easier but not have to worry about the names up all the time.

In other games, MANY other games they have no problem with this and can even make it to where the health bar shows only when damage is done to the pet.

Still no option to hide pet-nameplates …

Come on all other nameplates can be truned off why not pet names? It ruins the games emersion when you have to see your pets name. It is hard to believe this would be tough to do.

I’d rather they worked on not losing pet names when swapped out of rotation, personally. Talk about losing immersion…

I don’t mind the names showing, but for goodness’ sake, I just quit even giving them names because they won’t stick.

I still don’t understand why I can’t see what boons/conditions my pet has somewhere. kittening ridiculous if it’s supposed to be such a big part of our playstyle.

I want to add my name to this post. There is no reason this has been overlooked all these years. There also is no reason this has to be turned on all the time. I can turn everything else off but I"m FORCED to look at my pets name all the time? I hate name plates and it makes no sense (outside of laziness or not caring) why this hasn’t been changed. Please give this to us.

it annoys me to no end. that and the pet’s skating back and forth all over the place, ninja rubberbanding like it’s a very happy dog on cocaine. Since the latter won’t be fixed, at least let us hide the godkitten ameplate floating around

I can’t agree more. Very frustrating that you can hide every name plate in the game except pet nameplates.

TIME TO REVAMP RANGER PETS!

From our perspective, there has been suggestions/requests for ranger pet updates/revamps/overhauls all over the forums, but with the forum using “8088” search engine technology – it has gone unnoticed and unresolved since inception of the game over three years ago.

1) Save pet names – requiring to rename every pet brought up from the stable is ludicrous.

2) Enable ability to turn off pet names OR turn off pet names+health bar. We have to manage the ranger’s health looking at the circle in the skill bar – we should be able to opt to do the same with the pet health bar which is right there. (Maybe revamp the pet health to a smaller red circle easy to see next to ranger’s health on the skill bar.)

3) Enable ability to put ALL pets in the stable until wanted. We would like to choose whether we wanted a pet active or not – KNOWING a huge part of our DPS goes with the pet. Additionally, the “avoid combat” selection does not always work – pets will, at times, still engage when avoid combat has been selected.

4) Fix “Return to me” which puts the pet in passive mode even though “Guard” is still selected. So if one uses “Return to me,” then one has to switch the pet to “Avoid Combat” and back to “Guard” to reengage the pet – which is also ludicrous. So either:

a) Fix “Return to me” to make the pet passive towards ONLY the mob the pet targeted, but remain in “Guard” mode for all other mobs that come into aggro range,
OR
b) Just DROP IT. We can select “Avoid Combat” just as easy as “Return to me” and reactivating the pet is now one stroke, not two. (And now there is more room for maybe a smaller red circle for pet’s health by the player’s health.)

If you are here, then you must be reading the rest of the forum. There are many many many many many other people with simple requests like flying mount and new hair styles.

I’m sure the devs will get around to fixing this someday.

This is literally a mechanic that should have existed since day one…and people have been waiting for years. Any update on this even? I still, STILL see no way to turn it off.

And while they at at it fix the issue with me getting the option to charm other rangers pets when I’m next to them, so annoyin when I’m tryin to cut a tree or something. (Yes I know I cant actually charm)

Just change the pet name to “1” or “i” or something you wont notice as much.

A mod deleted my post….are you out of your mind? This needs to be bumped. Fix this people. I am not the only one who hates looking at pet names all the time. It is ugly and I have been a customer for a long time. You have no right to remove my post.
