I had thought this ancient bug had been fixed in the year I was away from the game and my ranger…

But I’m still seeing pet names revert back to juvenille something after every relog.

Is there a way to get a pet’s name to ‘stick’ that I have missed?

I’d long ago given up on this, but it would be nice to actually be able to name them…

the only solution is to pick 2 pets and never change them, ever.

After every relog?
That must be other issue, pet’s name only resets when you change pets, like you have a wolf and lynx both named then you change the wolf for a bear and later back to the wolf, in that case the wolf name will be reset.

It might be on pet change… I didn’t precisely try to figure this out, I just noticed I kept losing the pet.

But I’ve also recently been messing around a lot with my choices trying to find the best for a new playstyle, what with Druid and all.

So it is on pet change, but not pet swap – right?

I’ll look for that now, and I guess just set some names on the pets I go with once I settle down my build…

This has been a feature the ranger community has wanted since the original release and nothing has come of it. Its a simple quality if life addition that would make many of us happy and I don’t see it taking a tremendous mount of work to simply enable saved pet names…

Its BS that this is still not fixed it needs to happen. id pay 10 bucks to have this for my account if it was a space thing but thay can always make it client side
