When you invest in BM pets get increased attributes across the board – wouldn’t it increase build diversity if instead each point gave you + 40 attribute points which you could invest in whatever pet stats you want – e.g. power, crit etc (expand pet stats so that they have the same as players – i.e. you can also invest in HP which was only increased via trait previously).

This means you could run with a true glass cannon raven with super-high bursts, but 0 survivability. Or if you want a pet for it’s utility not damage, you could make it a tank, you could also give Moas great healing power etc.

This would result in less predictable match-ups against rangers, right now if you see a certain pet, you know what to expect, there are few surprises, maybe you could build a Polar Bear for high crit damage and catch someone off-guard etc.

Eh, I don’t know about this. While it would allow for more general diversity, it would also make pet choice less meaningful. Where right now certain pets fill certain roles which allows for different reason to use a variety of pets, with a change like this any pet could fill most roles which would reduce pet choice to “which F2 / skills do I want”.

That, and it seems overly complicated to some degree. You’d need to either majorly change the current pet window or make a completely new one in which to distribute all these stats.

Even if this did happen, though, I definately would not support adding stuff like crit damage. There are traits for that sort of thing, having stat points able to be added to that as well would allow for pretty crazy numbers.

Not sure why you say HP can only be boosted by traits. Vitality boosts health and the Beastmastery traitline boosts all 4 major stats, which includes Vitality.

Pet choice would mean alot more than which f2 you choose, as

- different pets still do different types of damage – e.g. ranged/melee, condition/direct, slow, big attack or fast weak attacks, aoe /single target etc etc
- Pets still have base stats which make a huge difference – a bear with added vitality would have practically twice the health of a bird with vitality investment.

That, and it seems overly complicated to some degree. You’d need to either majorly change the current pet window or make a completely new one in which to distribute all these stats.

I prefer added depth to a gameplay, it keeps me interested for longer and gives the truly good players a way to distinguish themselves.

HP = healing power, can only be boosted for pets with compassion training trait.
