Pet controls
If youre gonna start comparing games, Then I wont answer, Leave that at the doorstep when you enter GW2 forums where we discuss this game not WOW.
I do agree that you only have 1 move, which is the F2 but do you realize how strategic some of the pet moves are? like I for one have a Brown Bear, Simple animal and you gain him already from start if your a Human Ranger. Now his ability is to remove conditions from Allies, which is very strategic and very helpful, The pet makes me not need the Blessing of Kormir (The Utility skill that removes conditions) as my pet can do it for me.
Altough its very simplistic, its very strategic as well, as when my pet changes, My utility skills change as well.
I would also like a more deeper Pet system but this is a good start, after all they will be adding a ton of content in the future so I wouldnt worry too much. Also I like it, as if the Pets have too many skills, it becomes over complicated and you might have a harder time focusing on your own skills.
Why shouldn’t I compare games? It is my right to do so. WoW was the best MMORPG I’ve ever played and it’s only natural I want the next game I play to surpass it in every aspect. If you don’t want to participate in a discussion because of that, then don’t, who’s forcing you?
I actually mind this whole simplistic concept. There is nothing good about it. If it is strategic already, it would be even more so if we had the ability to control ALL the pet skills available. I want my dog to knock down my enemy when I WANT TO, not at some random moment that might mean nothing to me.
