Pet is slowing me down
[VaL]
If your pet is on “follow” you stay out of combat even if your pet is attacked. You don’t even have to completely set it to passive. When you run through areas where mobs might attack your pet just click F3 from time to time. I usually call it back to me every time I see/hear a mob attacking my pet, just to be sure that it won’t attack the mob.
For me that usually works fine. What I know only if the pet attacks mobs you are slowed down.
Pretty sure that the pet didn’t have to attack to slow down the players. I also tried to call back the pet but there was some delay before I gained back my normal speed

Its absolutely awful when this happens. I will take a closer look at that the next time I play but I know they fixed it a while back that pets only bring you into combat if they attack something.
You will slow down only when you are in combat, and this happens (when triggered by the pet) at the moment the pet DOES damage! So if a mob hits your pet and you are quick enough to hit your F3 (or your pet is on passive), you’ll remain out of combat..
Solution: Stow your pet or keep it on passive..

A mob only has to look at you or your pet for you to slow down to a crawl, the pet is awful, useless, and a burden.
Love my Ranger, HATE my pet.

Supposed to work like that maybe, doesn’t work like that in practice.

That solution is great, the stowing your pet part, unless you are running with Master’s Bond. in which case, just keep the thing on passive until you need it.
Pet don’t slow the player down. Pets no longer agros mobs. If the player aggros mobs your pet will not respond (in agro range but hasn’t taken damage). If you are hit by a mob you are put into combat weather or not your pet attacks. (note that your pet can keep you in combat so control your beast)
This was change like 2 months ago.
everyone should fear becoming mentally clouded and obsessed with one small section of truth.

Hmmz, I think you’re the only one then.. Could you show me a vid or something where indeed that happens? (pet doing no dmg but somehow putting you in combat)
