Pet names
Would you please fix pet names? It’s been bugged the entire life of the game so far……when you name the 2 pets you want to have out they stay named as long as you KEEP them your pets forever, if you switch them out they go back to being the default “Juvenile Whatever” OR what happens is the same name is applied to another pet of the same type…for example if i named my grey wolf “Sparky” and then flipped him out for my alpine wolf he would also be named “Sparky”. I know it’s probably low priority but i just leave all my pets unnamed now…..kinda silly.

This has possibly less to do with being a bug than actually how the mechanic is essentially flawed. The pet is treated as an NPC including its behavior and AI. How it works pretty much, if I understand it correctly, is that every time you choose a pet you choose a copy of that pet taken from the actually mob. In terms of coding and programming you’re basically inheriting the pet’s statistics and info from the pet’s family + model of the actual mob in the world causing the name reset. To fix this, Anet would essentially have to redesign how the pet mechanic works which is why they’re stalling on fixing anything to do with the pets.
When you take the same pets for water AND terrestrial you can switch f.e. the terrestrial and they still have your given names when switching back. I almost never do waterfights, so this is working for me, maybe for you too…
