Hello,
I played; with my ranger this afternoon and i noticed something strange:
my jaguar had 2561 precision, fury and he still didn’t crit. I first thought it was a bug then it happened again and again so i checked precision formula about crit.

For players it’s : (precision-832)/21,16 so here my pet should have 102% critical chance.

So it probably means that pets doesn’t use the same formula for critical hit chance.

I switched to my drake and set its precision to the lowest possible (1371) to check his base crit chance. I made him attack a lv80 dolyak( i removed first strike).

Experience protocol:
-take a sheet of paper and a pen
-keep watching screen
-write “+” when pet crits and “-” when he doesn’t

Here are my results:
7crit/113 hit with 1371 precision which means ~6% crit chance (a player should have 25%)
Then i tried with 1824 precision and it did 31crit/145 hit, ~21% (a player should have 47%).
Maybe my test are not very precise but such a big difference truly shows that players and pets are not using the same formula.

Of course we need much more tests to have an accurate formula but that’s a start.
