Most of our pets need to grow up a bit. Or a lot.
New sand lion looks like it’s a size of chiwawa.
Any hope for this?

I just found veteran send lion mob in expansion map. It looks like double the size of pet send lion. It would be proper size for pets too.

Well, Rangers tame juveniles, so they are likely to be smaller, but I get what you are saying, they should grow somewhat to match the size of your character, proportionally.

It’s not going to happen, it’s a visual QoL thing. Having a massive lion stand on top of half the raid groups models, covering group indicators, and being visual noise in general when the game already suffers from way too much of it as it is? Not going to happen.

Personally, I understand that it can ruin immersion. But it’s done to preserve user end quality gameplay experience.

It’s not that all of our pet must be bigger. I can live with birds and spiders being the size they are now, but cats and bears and wolves should be at least size of veteran mobs.
As it is, they are all same size, just different skins, except birds.

They could scale them up a bit, but making them veteran size will never happen.

They also need to stop making things cute, Im a little underwhelmed by the new pets. Frankly its good they are letting us fuse with them, because these uninspired beasts are starting to get to me. You gave me a rock deer, when hydra’s are walking around and destroying stuff?

Arena-net needs to just stop and give us some cool looking, kitten pets and stop with this trash. The wyverns were cool but they kinda suck, the drakes were a nice attempt but they are kinda meh ( reef drake looks amazing). The reef drake visually is the best looking pet, Its a good size and has great quality in its textures.

The fact we did not get dune lizards, or hell even some of the breeze riders, hydra’s, actual lions, crocodiles, those new land sharks or any number of things is insulting. You gave us this crap, when we should be able to tame these cooler beasts. In guild wars 1 the elonians prided themselves on taming Big, and rather monstrous animals. Just another expansion that brings dumb pets to the ranger, offering little in “Look at my pet.”

I play the ranger and have mained one for the pet, and I cant stand how some of them appear and some of the ones we have. We are in a fantasy world with magic, and all this other kitten and you cant let us tame one cool beast? We get bears, cats ect and then when you have the chance you botch it up? Plant/rock creatures really!?!? They would of been cool in HoT because it was plant people vs plant dragon, in plant area. We are in an area of the guild wars mythos that has huge monsters, and you could of let us have a baby one. Make a small hydra hatchling thats about the size of a reef drake, its not that kittening hard. But you know, cant have the ranger having cool pets so that people will focus and the kittening Ele or messmer.
