Presently, when traited with expertise training, pets can output 57 damage on a bleed with each tick.

After the cond change, with pets only having a MAXIMUM of 300 condition damage (without might) the best we can see is a measly 48.5 per tick.

Am I missing something here? A lot of pets are very reliant on their dots for damage and now there’s nothing we can do to bring them up to par.

You’re forgetting Companions Might and Fortifying Bond.

Edit: Oops. You said without might. Dunno why you’d want to cripple yourself like that, but my mistake.

Yah, I brought that up a few days ago when the condi changes were first detailed.

I’m hoping (probably in vain) that pets are going to get some innate condition damage and they just forgot to mention it. 300 condition damage just isn’t going to cut it if 700 is supposed to be the baseline for current effectiveness. They should be able to hit that 700 mark at the very least, if not go a bit beyond that with expertise training.

Since they NERFED Expertise training, I’m thinking that they must be adding some base condi damage to pets with condition attacks, since removing 50 condition damage from the trait will have little effect. I’m betting they get about 400 base, so the trait will push them to 700. Well, fingers crossed, but I’m not 100% optimistic about it.
