Pets got re-nerfed?

So i haven’t played in many months and came back to find longbow got a buff that it should have had years ago, but also that pets are once again utterly terrible. In wvw my felines have about 14k hp but have 25k in pve.

It seemed like they were finally realizing that an instantly dead companion that you can’t really control was a liability by buffing them and then they went and took it away.

What was the reason for this?

Bristleback can’t hit anything? Let’s fix the HP bug instead.

A good time ago pets got a buff in their HP but only in PvE. So no, there was no nerfs lately in our pets.

Pretty much this, in my opinion the generally poor implementation of the pet system is nerf enough to last the profession until Guild Wars 47.

Pets have been hidden due to rising Player complaints.
