Just as title says.

I cant count how many times my pet has ran out in front of me AFTER i stop moving and ago all the mobs in front of me. Its very frustrating in dungens especially, agroing bosses before the rest of the party is ready.

I really just want my pet glued to my side, stay as close to me as he can get without being inside of me. As of right now the pets just run way to far ahead of you.

Anyone else have this problem as well?

Yes, i am a ranger that mains a longbow. Problem?

I’m pretty sure ANet disabled pet agro. Even if they did, pets do still run way ahead but I’ve learned to always stow pet when not in combat.

Pet’s don’t attract aggro, unless the master has already initiated combat.

If a large group of mobs is standing around, a ranger can actually single pull them by sending the pet in (preferably not one with AOE… lol), tagging the mob with the pet, and then recalling it.

It’s very common for Ranger pets to be blamed for attracting boss aggro on dungeon runs, but it isn’t actually possible. As long as you are out of combat & out of range, the pet can’t get aggro unless it directly attacks it.

That’s because the server is controling your pet. And there will always be a latency between you stop moving and the server responding. This gets even worse if the server is working to capacity.
