I want to have COMPLETE CONTROL over my pet!
1.- I want to use it whenever I want
2.- If I don’t want to engage the enemy then there should be an option to keep the pet hidden.
3.- i do not want my pet to come out after I was hit by an enemy; I want to continue running undisturbed.

Is this too much to ask?

You and your pet are a single unit. If you mess with someone he messes with someone. If someone messes with you you can bet that your best friend is going to run up there and rip his/her face off.

I’m not sure if your issue extends beyond just that the pet appears when you go into combat (as in, is your problem that the pet then begins attacking?)

The pet will still be on screen and still eat AoEs with this suggested (and recommended) method, but set your pet to passive at all times and get used to manually using F1 to get it to attack enemies (and F2 and F3 and F4 when appropriate of course).

Now, with a passive pet, even if it “pops out” when you get hit, it won’t engage enemies or draw aggro from enemies, so that as long as you don’t engage it with F1 to attack any targets, you should be able to keep running along undisturbed, although you still have to deal with the pet actually being on screen.

I see what you’re getting at with your points though, and all I can say is: ANet will never choose a more efficient system if it means admitting that their own system is a poor implementation over other, more effective options.
