Please update pet UI so we don’t have to click on our pet to see the boons and conditions on them.

Agree, looks nice and neat like that and easy to see. Love it. Needs to happen.

I’d imagine the devs are afraid the ranger UI might be too cluttered for new players… what do you guys think? Any solutions?

I was thinking maybe under the Pet Management UI have a check box to show boons and conditions on the pet without targeting the pet. And have the box unchecked as default so newer players won’t be overwhelmed with screen clutter.

I don’t think there needs to be an option, but even better if there was. Checked by default would be the go though, imo. Learn to pay attention to the pet from the start.

No. The devs didn’t want the ranger profession to be too complicated for new-comers. It was partly why the devs didn’t want rangers to have more F-button functionality during the ranger CDI. I’m just figuring out a way to meet halfway.

Yeah, and that was and still is a mistake on their part. Options NEVER take away from the game, only add to it. I’d personally prefer boons and conditions show up as a default, but having an option is better (as you showed).

Anet might start adding more options though. They seem to be more open to newer things than before (1st person cam being one of those as an example). As long as it’s an option for players to decide for themselves, it can’t go too wrong.

The pet management UI needs options for sorting.

Yeah. Been some suggestions before for a more organized menu. One being the an organized take on the traditional menu, the other with sort, search, and filters. Either way, it will benefit Rangers, especially newcomers vs the jumbled up mess we have to deal with.

This is excellent, especially the Pet Selection. This needs to happen now while they’re implementing all these big changes to the game. Please spread the word and hopefully it’ll bring more attention to the pet UI

I’m not good at image editing, but this is how I would do it. Ability to select pet stats and skills too.
