Please add runes of the trapper to pvp.
Best take this to pvp forum, imo.
It was mentioned in this topic:

Move Rune of the Trapper to SPvP this would allow Ranger to have more sustain while playing traps. Also adding a new mechanic to Ranger in SPvP.
Did you notice Tripwire has a knockdown of 3 seconds while Spiketrap is only 1 second? Despite that Spiketrap recharges 1.5 times slower.
Essentially the thief trap works better without having to invest any trait into it.
I call bullkitten.
adding those runes would do nothing for competetive builds, because almost every condition-based build and most of the other ones (on the ranger that is), will have to run runes of the traveler.
Even though it’s a pain, it’s still the best option to get to +25% movement speed or swiftness for rangers.
I also don’t like the runes at all, since a trapper will often have to guard nodes, because thats one thing he’s good at and stealth really is more counterproductive.
The Super Speed would be more of a drawcard than the stealth to me, because you would be revealed all the time anyway.
I could have a celestial thief build with this rune pretty cool
Bad for ranger tho
Also remove direct damage from traps and put in an extra bleed/poison/burn stack. There is no point of rune of the trapper if traps remove my stealth.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

They made the runes for thieves. Must be, considering they removed the direct damage from thief traps for this very reason.

Sure they do.

If that is “one” thing the Ranger is good at then you might want them to consider adding them. It is called denial of entry not to mention the burst of speed and stealth to re-position.
Now, if they fixed the pets to gain stealth at the same time we do upon trap activation we’d be good.
Johnny Johnny – Ranger (Ehmry Bay)
Hárvey Wallbanger – Alt Warrior (Ehmry Bay)

Anet should buff Trapper’s Expertise so that it grants +25% speed when a trap is set, and swap it to master tier with that worthless Strider’s Defense trait

This is unnecessary. If you have trap runes, you get super speed. If you don’t have them, you might as well use air runes or traveler runes.
I think lack of runes of the trapper in sPvP really sucks… Only power builds are viable…

Please explain “spiketrap recharges 1.5 times slower”. Tripwire has a 30 second cool down, 24 second traited. Spike Trap has a 25 second cooldown, 20 second traited.
How does thief trap work better without having to invest any traits into it? Untraited Tripwire is just a longer knockdown. You have to take the trait to get the might, vulnerability and cool down reduction.
See you in Tyria.

That’s the old one, the new spiketrap has a base cd of 45 seconds
(I wrote “fortyfive s” first and it got translated to “kitten” lol)
