Well… Rangers are the second most created, not mained profession
Covenant of Bloodthirst [IvsI],
Favorable Winds [Wind]
This type of class is usually one of the most played professions. Back when I played WoW I think Hunter ended up having like 10% more players than the next highest played class.
Ranged+Pet is very popular.
So popular, yet so little love from ANet
Go figure
What amazed me is how close the professions are. The least played Mesmer and Engineer are only a third smaller than the highest created class Warrior.
I wish they did the graphic in number of hours played on each class that would be far more significant.

WoW -ranger- Hunter became OP. I only played Warlock and Death Night (mainly due to so many of my friends stubbornly playing on different servers).

GW2 is my first MMO. I guess I just never realized how popular ranger is.

/Thread.
I’d also pay good money to see what percentage of max level rangers no longer being played, was due to them being Bots…
Did you forgot bot use bear farming?
This class can massproduct bot very easy and very effective in PvE.
Then come back topic if not bot we will 2nd?
I was wondering how those stats were generated. For example I have five characters each of a different race and profession. So how would my stats fit into the overall stats? Hopefully it is based on hours played per character and not just toons created.
I’m fairly certain its just how many of X have been made and nothing more.
Those numbers don’t surprise me at all though, Rangers are always a popular pick in just about every game. The classic archetypes of classes always have good representation in a overall population sample.
Like, rename Guardian to Paladin and Elementalist to Wizard and both of those would probably gain a couple of percentage points. :p
