Power,Precision,Critical any good?
Beserker build myself, here are the stats…. a little more in depth with the information on this link:
Basically, with quickness, #4,#3,#2 on longbow, you can do some serious damage. I think it is the build you are looking for… definitely not good survivability, does great though for dishing out damage at a distance
Also, I know a lot of people hate the beserker build and tbh anywhere but wvw it pretty much sucks, but it does have its place and the fact that so little rangers are using the build is cool because it really catches people by surprise when they get hit by maul for 10k or hit by a 3-4k auto longbow attack at 1500 range.

At 1000+ actually.
Personally, I don’t like glass cannon builds, because in WvW they are free rally. Usually when I meet GC rangers, I kill them faster than they kill me, so I’m not sure if the tradeoff is good.
I love when my LB opening shot crit + Air Sigil proc sometimes takes 1/3 of some glass canon’s life away right off the bat. Then you see them stop in confusion (or terror, not sure which) and either die or run.

I’d have to agree, I don’t think the tradeoff is good either. Thieves and Mesmers are probably the two best glass cannons in the game, because their mechanics are both offensive and defensive. Thieves dance in and out of stealth resetting the fight whenever they can, while mesmers can hide within their clones until they’re ready to shatter you.
Rangers on the other hand rely heavily on evasion as one of their main survival tools, and unlike the aforementioned mechanics, ranger evasive properties do not do good damage to opponents, meaning that once an enemy shifts a glass ranger to defense, usually the enemy has the pressure taken off of them entirely and the ranger is stuck backpedaling for the rest of the fight as the enemy can continually gain momentum to take out the ranger.
A glass ranger has to be played almost flawlessly to be effective outside of a zerg (imo). You have to be dedicated to any fight, ready to predict and counteract any moves the opponent can use, and be able to improvise when necessary in case things still don’t go as planned. Some people find that high risk playstyle very rewarding in the entertainment department, but personally it isn’t for me.

My only question is why 5 in nature magic instead of wilderness survival? Extra dodges are invulnerability on demand but that 5 in NM is basically not very good. Natural vigor. Also, I run 30/25/0/15/0 or 25/25/5/15/0 in dungeons because fortifying bond and 5 person boon limit. I think fortifying bond is a requirement in dungeons…of course, the dnt noobs didnt take it in their video ripping on ranger dps.
I run a pure zerker ranger in WvW and it is a thrill ride (not claiming in any way, shape or form this build is good although it works for me). The build is as follows:
I will also note that this build is actually fairly survivable (decent 1v1 or 1v2 if the other guys don’t know what they are doing and reasonable ability to escape pursuit) due to signet of stone and the CC you have available via LB, traps and pets plus healing spring for when you get loaded with conditions.
Anyway…I would most definitely not recommend a zerker build to anyone not willing to invest $$$ into getting exotics for it.
Ya signet of the beastmaster + signet if stone! And with all the evades ranger has, as well as runspeed and the ability to disengage with greatsword, makes a zerker ranger a lot of fun. But is shortbow the right weapon? As the longbow is usually associated with power? Also, you could wear zerker gear and just put points in NM for spirits unbound and get protection and a dps boost that way. Lots of ways to spin this one. Honestly, I feel like ranger has a lot of good builds, don’t you guys?
