Why do you need 10% more power when you can get 10% more damage (steady focus) for yourself or 12% more damage for the group with traited frost spirit and spotter trait?
Spotter already does basically what you want only better: it’s +150 precision for everyone on the team.
In skirmishing you get 10% more damage while flanking (hunters tactics). In nature magic you and your pet get 5% more damage with a boon.
Max dps build is zerker with 20/25/0/25/0 with spotter, vigorous spirits, and frost spirit. Companions might / fortifying bond / sigil of strength is perma 25 might stack on pet.
You want power? Trait for it.

this was more of a suggestion on replacing traits that are rarely used not asking for “what else are there.” i did ask a lot regarding the topic but you weren’t even able to answer one of them.
oh! and i do know what you’re talking about. i’ll consider that as a suggestion and thank you. sorry if wasn’t able to clearly explain what i was talking about.
power? lol
Honestly to answer the question, moment of clarity is stronger than 10%. You’d need like, I don’t know, a lot to make up for that increased duration to stun or daze. Stun/daze are two of the most powerful effects in the game.
i just find moment of clarity not quite satisfying enough. even from other rangers I’ve asked. and i’m pretty sure you know better than this
I don’t use it in wvw without perplexity runes; it could use something maybe. I was just trying to help you get more power to be honest lol. Didnt realize it would become a theory discussion on moment of clarity. What if rangers had a hammer though? Imagine that
That’s a sweet ranger you got there, I am pursuing to get both legendary bows but it’s taking a lot of time… I am playing a full zerker too and I feel they lack something like most popular classes. I believe the ranger is an excellent class and they are the best at what they do: RANGED damage, currently I am trying to find a build to play in dungeons and in WvW and I have come up with this:
In dungeons I use Sword/Warhorn and the SB.
In WvW I trait for power in Nature Magic and use LB/SB.
How do you have so much power? I’m sorry If I got off topic but I am also looking for something better for my ranger, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
If attack power is all you care about, you rolled the wrong class :p
Moment of clarity is pretty good when using a greatsword. Seeing 5 digit Maul crits is fun, though it would be nice if Maul crit more consistently.

i agree with that rangers being an excellent class and that they are the best with what they do. be able to stay on a safe distance and unleash havoc against foes. its not that hard to keep our distance since we have lots of ways to maintain our range.
i use sword/warhorn too depending on the situation and usually combine it with the signet of stone(active) together with the beastmaster trait. you might wanna reconsider putting another 10 pts in marksmanship and notice that there are a lot of good traits to choose from.
chopps did mention that there are lots of way to boost your power which is good and that we have lots of option. but mine is more of an end gear reliant and being dedicated to the power trait.
however, i am still not satisfied with moment of clarity being in the grandmaster trait line and imo it should be replaced or moved to another.

really? i do have a warrior… but please enlighten me and tell me the reason why i’ve rolled the wrong class. are you saying the rangers going for a zerk build is wrong? lol
I think most of the problem was they design a lot of the ranger/pet damage buffs to be the same type of buff, moment of clarity. If they maybe added an unblock-able component to moment of clarity attack then that could help the whole lack of stacking from moment of clarity.

Yes, yes it is. Nothing dies as fast or gets the least bang for the buck as a zerk ranger.
In all my time in WvW the most satisfying thing to run across is a zerk ranger. They die just as fast as GC thieves but without any ability to stealth out and get away.
Zerk rangers in wvw are very squishy and the main reason people say rangers are squishy
Btw, there’s direct damage builds around here with like 3k armor, thats what you should shoot for. Zerk ranger has like, i think, 2100 armor which is why they feel like wet tissue paper.
Any WvW build should strive for as much toughness as they can get. 2800-3000 is a good place for a Ranger. You can still get 50% crit chance and 75% crit damage with 2200ish power with that.

You can get 2600 toughness, 38% crit chance(base) 65% crit damage(base), with 2700 power, and an added bonus, 1200 condition damage and 20K HP if you build your ranger right.

Can you share that build?
Because it looks great imo.

Sure, I’m going to be posting a video of it in action soon as well. The numbers are actually a bit better than what I said. It’s 43% crit instead of 38%, 2800 toughness instead of 2600 and 2800 power instead of 2700.
Swap third utility accordingly. Sig of Stone for Thieves, Warriors, Ele’s and Guardian’s. Sig of Renewal for Necro’s, Engi’s and some Mesmers and condi Rangers. Sig of the Hunt for the rest.

Sigh… I don’t feel like typing this from spreadsheet manually… you all can figure it out.

Interesting spec but it seems your giving up a lot of power for condition damage, which isnt really suited to the weapons.
