Problem with lupi
yeah I keep RaO ready for defensive purposes when lupi goes to phase 3. If you do get stuck in the dome though you can dodge roll inside to avoid SOME of the dmg. The worst possible thing though is to keep trying to dodge roll out. That disable will kill you.
How does signet of the wild get you out?
Dungeon master / arah veteran ranger here…
You get a free stability pass every 90s with ranger if you combine Shared Anguish with Stability Training and use a bear. I like polar bear and frost trap versus Lupi. Why? Chill slows him down, the bear provides the combo I just mentioned for the bubble (instead of you getting knocked back, the bear will get stability! You’re both saved!), and frost trap is just fantastic: it’s unblockable. Therefore, to shadow step to you, Lupi has to go through it. To walk to you Lupi has to go through it. In fact, I just keep the trap in between myself and Lupi while I rip him to shreds with shortbow. Not to mention how useful frost trap is in slowing down grubs.
If lupi is getting on someone’s case, I run in with greatsword, drop frost trap on Lupi’s feet, then Swoop out (make sure you don’t have Lupi targeted on Swoop or else you’ll head right into him!). It’s like “LUPICUS CHILL OUT DUDE”.
Use devourer on pet swap because ranged pets fair better on Lupi; with the bear, after using the F2 skill, pull it back and keep it off aggro.
Rock on!
*Edit: My Arah build is 20/5/15 (Shared Anguish)/0/30 (Natural Healing/Stability Training/Might Swap) with full knights gear and berserker trinkets. I find that extra toughness and 2 seconds of protection on dodge roll quite necessary. I play Arah with greatsword and shortbow. The greatsword is such an awesome defensive weapon, with projectile block on 4 and an escape on 3. What runes you choose are up to you but runes that add toughness will probably give you the most durability.
Versus GL I will slot Search and Rescue (someone’s going to need a rez unless you are all very well practiced), Frost Trap, and Signet of the Wild. I will use Healing Spring for the extra condition removal and I’ll tend to leap out of it with Swoop for a quick 1500 heal. Also, remember that you get retaliation when leaping through a Light combo field…warriors drop those a lot I think. I can’t remember what it’s called though.
