To be fair that would have worked with 2 eles, ranger, mesmer, warrior. Same or more dmg in that particular fight. The video was meant to show us how op mesmer slow is, not an attempt at Lupi world record.

I meant the classes in general, not composition-wise. Thief and Guardian will always have a spot on the meta due to what they can offer. As for Frost bow, it got buffs on a couple of other skills, iirc, 2 and 3. 3 is used after 4 but 2 is rarely used, ever.

Thief will get a run because they got a large damage buff/stealth and guard, well, is guard.

Frostbow #4 didn’t get buffed, but a couple of the other skills did for some inane reason.

The frostbow buffs are meaningless more or less, or so it seems to me after doing a cof on ele.

Rangers were always Tier 2 when it comes to PvE (even in PvP/WvW) lol.
it’s just a Tier 2 type of class… won’t ever be on the level of guardian/warrior/ele
They are just “good” at everything, not “great” at anything.
But I enjoy the class in PvP/WvW more than any (except ele hehe)

But seriously, if you want to win in PvE… roll a different class… rangers can’t tag for kitten in open world content and have mediocre party support for dungs/fracs…
Roll guardian / warrior if u wanna win bigtime in PvE.. Rangers have a secondary place in PvE.. and that won’t change for a while , if ever.

well that just seems to be a PVE design issue. they need to take this into account when designing HoT monsters.

They already are. After watching the ‘Building a Better Centaur’ presentation, AI in PVE might actually move out of the Time Warp zone instead of trying to fight players in it. We’ll have to wait and see when it comes out with HOT.

Whatever, MM, Skirm, BM GS S/A remorseless is still stupidly fun with the amount of fury application you can have.

Stuff melts regardless of comps with all this powercreep.
