[PvP] Builds for season 8
Taste for Danger is meh for PvP. Your 2 birds put nothing on the table, they are clunky and squishy pets. I understand the synergy with Beastmastery F2 line, but Birds are just going to die in seconds in PvP. Get the Druid line to get Druidic Clarity, which is a condition clear and Stunbreak, you won’t need Protect Me.
I normaly play Shoutbow Druid with some tweaks to it, but I wanted to spice this season a little. Now, I’m having success with Condi Druid this season, because it is not meta, so people aren’t used to it. It’s more or less your first build with some tweaks to it.
Sage Amulet has no precision or high crit chance to make a difference, so Sharpened Edges is useless. Now, sometimes I change Muddy Terrain to Spike Trap (and put Trapper’s Expertise) depending of the composition of the other team. Lots of condis (thief, mesmer, necro, guardian), I will take Muddy Terrain. Lots of blocks and bruisers (warrior, ele, engi), I will take Spike Trap. Muddy Terrain is very flexible, it can removes condi, CC people in place, but the Slow buffed it and you can use it when people are stomping downed.
Since I lose Beastly Warden or other good CC from a Power druid with GS or LB, I took heavy CC pets, such as Wolf and Electric Wyvern (despite its buggy as hell F2). Sometimes, I’ll change the Wyvern to Smokescale.
As for your Bunker Druid, it’s a little different from the Meta, but still solid. Protective Ward or Nature’s Vengeance ? I guess it’s up to you.
For myself, I never really liked S/D Staff Druid bunker. Too boring and too support.

Meh another season, another balsnce patch and still the same meta. Thank god POF will come out soon.
I tried a few new builds but the NM/BM combo is still the better pick. Why would you ever drop the fast ress and the pet damage/shouts. Dropping BM and using WS adds some disgusting survival, but you will hit even less harder. Ele would probably be a better choice.
Using a more damage-oriented build is also not that wise since other classes could do a better job.
Maybe someone else could think of a different viable build that can compete in plat/early legend queue, but I doubt it.
Season 8 you will see tons of core rangers going LB/GS- MM/WS/BM, It’s very effective and it’s superior to the druid builds in terms offensive roles.

Having the WS/BM synergy and going full Survival definitely helps if the Season turns out to be Condi heavy. With MM you also get to have insane boon uptime and maybe Remorseless if you can handle that.
We know Power Ranger does have its niche in wide open maps and can do their thing if there are squishies for them to Rapid Fire into, but the question is how does it hold up against the usual fare, because projectile hate is still rampant.

It’s not only the WS/BM synergy(which is superb), Soften the fall with the improved muddy terrain, CB+ZS+Toxins+Remorseless and your pet is a killing machine.
Something like that:
