Let me preface my question by saying I am not a Druid. Okay, so my question is in the context of raids. I would greatly appreciate any input.

Should a Druid run Glyph of Unity or Spirit of Nature and why?

Thanks in advance.

Unity is another seeds proc which is always a good thing, more GoTL or additional healing when used in CA for really tough situations (I usually hit it while out of CA but I’m open to being corrected, I’m still learning things on druid). Spirit of Nature is great for shaky fights though like Matthias. There’s no hard rule on it, take what you think would benefit the most.

^ Can’t add much more then this.

Generally I take glyph of unity, pop it in CA to spread Grace of the Land amongst raidmembers. Or if that is not needed I pop out outside CA, but that’s more rare.

The only reason I take Spirit of Nature over Glyph of Unity is when I’m in a raidgroup which has trouble with a certain raid and they tend to die alot / often in a certain phase, cast Spirit of Nature (or preferably just before that phase) and cast it again when people are downed to bring them back up

Also, traited Spirit of Nature, just as Water Spirit, gives more sustained healing, druids are more bursty healers. I sometimes like to bring those 2 spirits at Sabetha or Matthias for more sustained healing, fights which take place at 1 spot and people don’t move around too much. In most other raids the fights move around too much for those spirits to take good effect.

I forgot 1 thing: I bring traited Spirit of Nature between Spirit Vale and Gorsevall, at the spectral rifts fase, half way during the fight in the middle for some stability because of those knockbacks. Not needed most of the time. I just like to be of service

Spirit of Nature is somewhere between almost completely useless and the most powerful elite skill in the game depending on the situation. Sustained healing, stability and of course the party-ress or self-ress if need are very powerful. They will become less needed as your group progresses further and becomes less shaky, however.

The good part (even if it really isn’t) about druids is that their other elite skill choices aren’t really that great for raids. Glyth of Unity is okey as an added damage multiplier with the option for the healing side of it. Although, it isn’t exactly a big sacrafice to swap it for the safer and more support orientated Spirit of Nature.

The druids should judge the situation and the needs of the raid group and pick their elite skill accordingly. Just like Bast Bow, I have tried out the spirit in all of the situations possible and have found a few instances where I’d clearly pick it over the glyth.
In any case, there isn’t a perfect choice unless you are talking about speed record attempts where the glyth would be the clear choice.

Spirit of Nature takes whole 5 seconds to execute as a resurrecting ability.

Glyph of Unity … Is a stat stick you have to press. It will never make a difference. Literally.

Use the one you think might help more. I usually went with the Spirit. My raid party wasn’t all that great and sometimes I had my lucky moment preventing a wipe.
