(Q): Role of Warhorn (in Builds & Gameplay)
Personally, I do not use Warhorn in anything other than build focused on buff uptime or for when I am traveling long distances and not expecting contact. If Skill 4 added a secondary effect I might reconsider, but for me it is not worth the slot otherwise.

With sigil of earth, sharpened edges trait and sharpening stone you can get some crazy bleeds with the bird skill.
Used to go well in rabid/spirit builds.
I use it with wvw roaming, power build + sigil of air. 4th skill’s damage is very well. Also you can use poison/torment/ etc crit proc sigils to bug your enemy. Mostly it is not better than greatsword though.
Now that we have druid trait: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Natural_Stride

I don’t use warhorn anymore just for swiftness upkeep, which I wanted for walking long distances.
I’ve read warhorn 4 can do a lot of damage if you’re procced right (I believe zerker). The blast from warhorn #5 is nice when using healing spring. But now that we have druid you also have another blast on your staff
It also depends on which gamemode you’re playing.
@jokobet
The weapon has use as a Power Utility weapon.
I used it at my Stealth-er PvP build with a very high amount of success.
It’s main use is utility or support role in Power or Hybrid builds.
It is a very powerful choice of weapon for building up Astral Force via Windborne notes trait (NM).
Or it is cool for Hybrid builds as it was already mentioned. It also makes you practically immune to blinds for the duration of Hunter’s Call. Watch for Retaliation, though
Thanks for the answers. :-)
Healing/Support builds would use WH for the blast finisher. You can combo it into a fire field for might stacking. You can also use it as a spike heal + Regen by combo St5→St3→Wh5→PetSwap
