The more time I spend with it the cooler I think the new model looks. Perhaps the whole rainbow name is a misnomer, but they could rename it a Green Jellyfish and it’s such a nice change.

These balance patches may not have been all that satisfying (RIP Search and Rescue, nobody will use you anymore), but rangers got 2 great things:

-Rainbow Jellyfish new skin

-Fervid Censer

At the very least the class will not be lacking in style. Now please let me tame the green moas in the sylvari starting area plz.

Don’t forget axe projectile correction. It’s pretty nice.

It’s funny that Blue Jellyfish is more “rainbow-ish” than the Rainbow Jellyfish, but I’m glad the HoM skin is unique now.

It looks somewhat small and dull. Also its tentacles are… unimpressive. They have less of the wow factor that the other jellyfish do when they do their whirling attack, anyway. Also they seem to animate more poorly, but that may just be me being overly critical.

I was banking on it looking better than the imgur’d sample we were shown did. Ehhh.

Ah yessss… Ranger is op underwater, I have to try this new jellyfish, I haven’t got a look on it yet, but you are saying it’s cool so maybe it’s worth to swap my shark or drake for it

I don’t mind the new jellyfish skin, but, what they should do is make this new skin a new species called green jellyfish and give us a proper rainbow jellyfish like the one shown in the concept arts

Use the rainbow jellyfish only if you like to look at it. It has lower health because it was overlooked along with the Black Widow and the Black Moa in the pet balance update on April 30.

I can go to my HoM to look at it in the pool or swim along with it if I don’t plan to fight, but it is plain inferior for use in combat.

Underwater is a joke anyways and my jellyfish didn’t die before the patch anywhere. Might as well use the pet I like down there because unlike land absurd aoe is not plentiful.

In the beta, the new “Rainbow” skin actually WAS used for a juvenile green jellyfish.

I agree that the juvenile green jellyfish should be brought back, and that the rainbow jellyfish needs to get the proper skin from the concept art.

To be honest, I don’t really use any jellyfish anyway, but the new skin just feels like a cheap way out. :|

That makes sense then. So really, they didn’t give us a new rainbow skin but took the old green jellyfish and renamed it rainbow, excellent….

So lazy…
