Random Idea
People come up with the most creative ideas for fixing the pet mechanic.
I agree that this will probably require too much programming to be implemented, and lore-wise, it might come off as being too close to the Norn ability to channel the Spirits of the Wild. The concept is fascinating, though, and I would have fun playing around with it on various pets.
By Ogden’s hammer, what savings!
I think these are some great ideas! Especially the added effect to skills.
Rangers primarily use the long/short bow and neither have many effects. When you compare the bow skills of a warrior and thief to a ranger its quite a let down…
I`m sorry, but most of this ideas is hard to reliase. And it`s a kind of “bicycle invention”.
Why just not look at GW1 Ranger skills and mechanism?

As you can see, there are a lot of way`s to improve ranger`s abilities by stances, nature rituals and preparations as it was in GW1 and make rangers more much useful for allies.
I know they most likely (certainly) wont be implented hence why i wrote that in the first sentence of the thread.
The problem is that those type of skills dont even exist in any form in gw1. The closest thing to a preparation we have is sharpening stone and it kinda sucks.
Our block/Evade stance gone.
Our interrupts .Pratically non-existant. We were the spellcaster bane in gw2 , but the casters dont have much to fear from a gw2 ranger.
