Figured I’d show everyone how bad the botting is for rangers :/

You often see groups of ‘people’ moving around like this; usually Rangers or Warriors that I’ve seen.

Hope you reported them, but seems to do very little.

It’s really easy to identify which are real players and which are bots. The bots always move in a line with each one following the person in front. They often path in a very small area as well. I’ve seen all rangers with bears, and I’ve also seen more recently groups of different classes.

I report every single one. Not sure what effect it’s actually having, though.

I have named my Bear “Not a China Bot” :P. Wonder if that will get me reported,
My Black Widow is named “Fix Ranger Pls” hahahahaha

Anyways, yea those darn bots are giving us a bad name. For some reason, I find that many of them now are using Pirate Gear, and sigil power build. Which is just spoiling it for the rest of us. Also alot of them have chinese names starting with X….

Recently a lot more bots whom are guardians or warriors who can res each other and have proper names! GASP

.. and some of them comes with guild!

I find it’s a pain to report big groups like that. They need to add a little image next to their nameplate flagging it as reported (for you only). Trying to make sure you reported them all isn’t easy.

sigh botters kitten me off. Bro bots in wow, I wish I still played simply so I could gank him and keep killing him. Times like this make me wish open world pvp was allowed. Then again, not sure Id attack a group of 8-10 bots, they might turn on me.

I got killed by a ball of ranger bots in WvW. Seriously you can’t imagine how lame it is to die to like 20 sharks protecting a ball of bots. And I mean literally a ball…

Lol I can imagine, just go into raid of the capricorn and try to take ruins, atleast their sharks dont hit like that.

yup, I’ve seen multiple groups of these… it’s pretty sad that so many bots are playing a game that has no true goal.

No true goal? What do you mean? Botting period is sad honestly. These are asian gold sellers, they farm gold and sell it on their stupid sites. Get them banned and they are forced to buy a new game, eventually it will become too expensive for them unless there is a free trial that lasts a long time.

I report every bot I see and every gold spammer as well. I will continue to do so without fail for as long as I play the game. They ruin every game they touch.

Yea they are a plague. Hopefully reporting these pricks gets the job done, I hate it when I see the same bots pming me or sending me mail.

This. Bots piss me off. Sometimes I wish I can open PK them.

Bots are not all Asian gold sellers . A editorial article which I read from another very popular forum on bots and hacks said he went and looked into the problem and found on one site alone there were 77,000 downloads of just on program. There are many programs out some free all the up to a monthly fee which guarantee you wont get caught or ban.

I don’t like have all this in a game but its has been in every game thats has ever came out. I don’t think we can blame Anet for any of it it but there has to away to fix it so the average player can still have a good time and get the awards that comes with play fair and honest. As of right now thats happening :{

It’s not just Rangers – I’ve seen groups of Thief, Warrior, or Elementalist bots, too. I report them all, even if I have to stand there for a few minutes making sure I targeted every bot in a big group.
