I use the dog family a lot with the aoe abilities on F2

After the update the issue with pets moving to targets is still there:

1) Press F2
2) Pet moves to target instead of using aoe ability when i press button and where the pet is
3) If target moves pet does not use the abilities it just keeps following target

The pet also still does not use the abilities reliably, I have pressed F2, pet moves to target and carries on attacking like normal!

With aoe abilities i think the pets reall need to cancel their attack patterns and use ability when requested… at the moment it is really bad that the pets ‘chases the carrot’ so much.

I want to play Ranger. This lack of control needs to be removed in my opinion

Yeah sometimes I’m bleeding or poisoned and my bear just runs for target when I hit f2. No shake it off for me.

I think the problem arises because pets use attack skills, and they have a skill queue of their own. If you attempt to use your pet skill (f2) when your pet is using a skill and already has another one lined up, nothing happens. They should make the f2 skill override any other skill the pet currently has in its skill queue.

Sometimes instead of the pet cancelling their F2 skill when the target moves, the pet will fire off their F2 attack into the empty space the Target was in before it moved.

This has made me always use my pets attacking F2 skills on stable targets I know are not going to move. I basically center all my attacks now around the target I hope arent going to move.

Sure, this seems a tad frustrating and a bug/glitch. It means you have to micro manage your pet’s attacks, and in my opinion makes the game play just a little more interesting.
