Salutations folks. While spit balling some more ranger goodies an Idea came to my mind and i havent had a chance to test it, so i figured i would have our community chime in.

if an Enemy is using an ability that Reflects prjectiles. what would happen if you put Retal on yourself and kept shooting? if it works like im thinking it would be great if for example " A thief uses that stupid spin dagger elite skill, so the ranger pops retal on themselves , opens range about 800-1000 units and keeps firing away." The time for the projectile to travel to the enemy and retal back could potentially be enough time for their ability to wear off and for them to take a heap of damage.

is something like this feasible? let me know …because if it does…its Sexy Time for sure.

Well if you’re talking about the retaliation boon, the projectile the enemy reflects back at you would do more damage to you than the enemy would take from the retaliation.

If you’re talking about reflecting projectiles that the enemy reflected back at you, that wouldn’t work. Projectiles can only be reflected one time, after that they will just pass through anything that tries to reflect them.

Retaliation boon relies on power to do damage. The higher your power the more damage retaliation does to the enemy.

If an enemy reflects a projectile back to you and you have retaliation, it should trigger retaliation on whoever it reflected it back (I say should because I’m not 100% sure). I believe that reflected projectiles can also trigger the reflector’s sigil so I figure they count as their attacks except the damage isn’t calculated by their power/crit.

But like Bri said, retaliation is a set amount of damage. It will do less damage than the attack that was reflected.
