Ranger Scaling issue
allow us to give food to pets.
Actually a friggin good idea, just make it so the food buff doesn’t go away on pet swap…

What is so stupid about this type of issue is dam MMO companies do not learn EVER. EQ had this so added pet focus. Then WoW had this and finally added pet scaling in. Common sense that it should be in game.
Don’t count on them adding it any time soon as this is a Hugh amount of work and Anet has such small staff they can not even make skins for all weapons in April Fools content.
I thought about it too… but on the other hand we can go tanky and use high dmg pets.
But tbh I think there are bigger issues (like pet standing in red circles or F2 delay), coz we don’t have new tiers of gear added all the time. I have best gear now and imo my pets dmg is still too high xD (compared to mine).
Yes the lack of itemization benefits for pets is an issue, it was predictable, it will become more important with ascended armor/weapons. At the moment the endgame itemization is relatively flat though, with even legendaries having the same dps as exotics, so the status quo is acceptable. If a ranger isn’t getting the same benefits from stepping up from rare to exotics as other classes then it’s frankly being masked by every problem that rangers face.
its a tricky issue to address … the easiest way out is probably to remove the pet and have it optional, and revise the damage coefficients… otherwise they would have to somehow scale the pets with our gear (like the AR update) but somehow make it so that it will not be over powered… (or they could also have pet gear, which would be interesting lol)
