I decided to test out the Signet/GS build this morning for kittens and giggles, and other then popping other berserker people for 10k with Maul (and believe me when I say its a kitten to land this attack on anyone who’s not a kitten I wasn’t super amazed by it.

Mainly because it requires you to basically be a wet paper tissue.

However….I learned something I never honestly knew about Rangers.

Signet of the Hunts 50% damage buff for the pet lasts 16 Minutes.

Which means, you can preload it before every fight.

So useful tip, Always pop it before ya leave the port keep.

You can even preload it and then switch it out.
As long as you don’t swap pets, the next attack will hurt.

Yes its an old tip, but good to remind ppl of from time to time. Think it can be found in the wonderful Ranger Tips thread (which should be stickied and read by all).

But well, if even Xsorus, who called it quits on the ranger after countless hours and great vids didn’t know it, it might be worth posting again and again and again. :>

It is old news but there is no reason to not mention it again for any that haven’t heard it yet.

Pre-loading SOH is very useful and the more people that know about it the better.

Guess which Signet will be “fixed” next patch.

I think tons of rangers contibuted to it but only Hrouda’s topic about his kitten pets deserves to be sticked.

Yea i honestly didn’t know about it, I always figured it was 16 seconds like the Greatsword number 5 ability (which I did check)
