Figured a thread like this needed to be done – One issue I’m having is the meatless murderer achievement- Having great difficulty with this one. Any rangers out there that’ve done this and care to share?

To elaborate: Because 40% of our damage is in pets, I can’t kill the god kitten mutt fast enough even with 4 stacks of meat.

If this was a pvp setup scenario with instant level 80 and gear I’d just roll my warrior and beat the kitten out of the kitten dog .

I had literally 0 issues getting it, got it first shot, just threw my pet on him (fern hound) in my 0/30/10/0/30 build and would use point blank shot to knock the dog away from any meat he was about to eat, I used Sig of the Hunt, Vipers Nest, and QZ and managed to drop him after I had picked up 8 meat slabs, then I dispatched of his owner in a matter of seconds.

Yeah, this whole thing just said, “kitten rangers”

Well I know you can deny the rock dog the meat his owner tosses by simply picking it up. I haven’t completed this one yet due to having to get ready for work, but my guess would be to make sure that rock dog gets little to no food.

@ Durzlla Might I inquire of your gear setup you used? It’d be much appreciated, though I guess its probably magi/cleric etc ? I’m using Puandro’s , a 0/15/20/15/20 setup- though instead of cleric trinkets I’m using a mix of berserker’s cavaliers.

I didn’t get the achievement for Chomper and his Norn buddy, but Durzlla and I pretty much used the same technique: sick a wolf on Chomper. That cripple/knockdown was a huge boost, though I decided to split DPS and attacked the Norn, myself. I didn’t get all the meat before Chomper, but I did beat them on my second try when I used the technique.

…Been getting close, still not quite there yet. He always manages to throw one meat lump right underneath the dog.

• Also to clarifier- What I have difficulty with is the achievement whereby you not let the dog eat ANY meat at all. No problems beating him- Have problems beating him with said criteria
  One way I think I might beat this would be to carry the meat stacks over to a second round- then just burst the mutt from the start- It would require no one else to be queued for it though

Bursting might be one way.. I did it though using a regen build. That allowed me to not have to worry much about being hit, which in turn meant I didnt use my evades to dodge but could use them to beat the dog to the food. Other than that I just stayed close to the Norn and ran the second he threw the food.

Maybe I was just lucky he never threw it straight under the dog, but thats who I managed it.

Oh, and I killed the Norn first (using SB condition build) inbetween waiting for him to throw.

Didnt really use a pet because I had bears active when I arrived at the arena, soon realised in most of the fights they were useless and I didnt actually need them anyway, so I just have a bear lol’ing about doing whatever it is bears do.

Managed it. Thanks Durzilla for the build, as well as all the rest of you for your advice. What I can say is, it was more of a l2p thing at the end after nailing down a semi-burst build. Send Wolves in, swap regularly, stay near the norndimbulb. spam your muddy terrain and blah after the first meat.I usually activate RaO after the second meat. In between meats, always keep up the LB/GS spam, but save your cripple/daze/knockback. QZ is good for LB 2# and 5#. I killed the dog after my 6th stack of meatroids.
