This may seem like a strange question, I’d like to suggest a specific build and ask for your views on what other Ranger builds could do well or even win against said build ceteris paribus.

Toughness (near 2k)
Power (near 2k)
Healing (between 8xx and 1k)
0/0/30/10/30 Dwayna Runes /w Mango (x4 regeneration)
x2 Feline (snare/cc —>switch to panther-->f2—->weapon burst add QZ

Skills, weapons?

Some of the most annoying 1v1 fights I’ve had were against other Rangers. Not to say I lose to them more than other classes, but unless the weapons, traits, and utilities match up is the worst for one person then it can take a while.

Doesn’t really matter what the build is. The Ranger who wins will be the player who is knowledgeable about the tactics of other builds, has counters for those builds, and who is the more skilled in the build they are running.

The one who can use his ranged pet to shield himself xD

Probably the same setup but with condition damage instead of power.

I actually hunt other rangers in spvp because imho beating them is freaking easy.

Your description doesnt really give away what that build is. What weapons do they have, for they use DD or CD, what are their traits, are they a trapper or ranged based or melee based?

Its impossible to say at this point because we know almost nothing about this build.

If your build is focusing on pet abilities to control the fight, then any fight where the pet AI is less than perfect gives you a disadvantage. Furthermore, a 30/30/10 build or the like with Sigils affecting the player can absorb a lot of damage and still outperform you.

It’s hard to go into detail when you didn’t either though.

That build has litterally 0 condition removal or reduction, so I guess that would be its biggest weakness. I think being a trapper would work best as trappers have a lot of soft CC to remove their mobility, and traps will kill off the pet and ranger at the same time.

ranger wins vs ranger, the other ranger loses.

Ironically two 0-0-30-10-30 ranger will stalemate but kill almost everyone else lol

But the question still stand, can you come up with a Ranger build that is a counter to 0/0/30/10/30 in its melee condition or bow power variants?

trap rangers can do it

Actually the melee ranger can still win vs trap if they use sigil of energy for extra dodge and protection. Even better they can use torch for an arial burning skill and one-two utility for a trap.

0/0/30/10/30 Bow Power-rangers also use double energy on bows and birds for pretty much ridiculous amount of dodging.

As far as I can tell to hard counter a bunker you need high burst and high sustained? Say a pure DPS Guardian (Sceptre+Torch / Sword+Focus).

Uh…the pets win obviously duh :P
