So I started out GW2 as a casual player, having never played MMOs before, I went with the class that looked most appealing to me – Ranger, why? 2 reasons, because BOWS and PETS (2 of my favorite things in a fantasy based setting). Also, please note I only play PvE.

Even though I started n00b, I felt that playing Ranger was underwhelming. I have spent 300 hours with this class and I still feel the same way. Unsurprisingly, other players feel the same was as well because I was often declined membership to parties doing dungeon runs and the reason would be – lol Ranger.

Shouldering this shame was bad enough, but now Anet has taken the 2 things that were the stand out features of Rangers – BOWS and PETS and have castrated and declawed them respectively. Rangers no longer have range and have pets who die so easily. Now don’t even do that much damage and spend most of the fights, staying dead, therefore, halving my DPS output.

I know that I haven’t played MMOs a lot, but I feel that this class is underwhelming and I cannot stop playing this because my other level 80 is (please don’t laugh) an elementalist. I do not have the time or money to take another class to level 80, and am left feeling sour after this nerf.

If possible Anet, please make a sub-specialisation of Ranger, where we can sacrifice our pets to Grenth forever and in turn receive a permanent bonus to our CAPABILITY and the ability to wear heavy armor with bows that actually have range. Or give us Garm.

I apologize for my English and grammar but I’m really very sad right now and since Anet has always been kind and responsive to me, I believe I should be kind and respectful when I bring up an issue like this. I would like us Rangers and if possible devs, to have a healthy talking session where we can discuss points on how to improve our beloved class!

Should give us Garm for sure and I would forgive a lot.
