Ranger and Warrior
I’d say Ranger’s strength over Warrior is its ability to do damage from range, which translates to higher survivability in endgame fights. Also, Ranger’s ranged options are more versatile than Warrior in terms of keep defense.
Generally though, Warrior does do more damage and has more group utility.
Actually rangers did use 2 handed swords, one of the most famous ones being Aragorn from Lord of the Rings. Most people seem to equate ranger as someone who uses ranged weapons, perhaps this is because of Legolas and some other well known rangers who used primarily the bow. Perhaps it is a misunderstanding of what Ranger actually means. HINT: Ranger does not have anything to do with ranged weapons.
What I find weird is the lack of 2h Axes….where did they go?!

I am going off topic here but hell yeah a 2-hand axe would be awesome and some type of pole arm. Seriously there are no land use polearms in game.
Both in my opinion have the same utility options – although you will find a warrior is better at bursting when they’re on you point blank, however (surprised), the ranger’s range abilities far exceed the warriors. All boils down to play style prefernce and this is coming from a 80 ranger with 200 hours of play since launch (/age).
Edit I might also add Rangers are far more useful in PvE due to their double bear tank swapping options.
Thanks for all the responses. One last question in a small roaming group taking supplies and creating choke points, do you think the ranger would excel with increased mobility or would the warrior provide more benefits with its boons? Thanks everybody.
