Do u think Ranger will be more usefull in HoT? especially for pve?
I dont know what I should think about the Staff on Ranger…

Won’t know until we get more info. But as it stands, Colin J. mentioned in an interview with Angry Joe that players will be able to swap between specializations (in this case, Ranger and Druid) while out of combat. So, there’s no reason to NOT become a Druid when you get HoT.

What was also mentioned is that base classes, like Ranger, are getting looked at to be on par/equal with specializations. So, there’s a strong chance Rangers might become “more useful.”

I just want a specialization with a hammer. Maybe next year…

I’ll reserve judgement for when I have actual concrete information to work with.

I don’t see Anet making Rangers weaker. However, the strengths of current and future ranger is largely contextual towards what the new class and every spec offers. I don’t see too much changing within pve, but the pvp-sphere should get very very interesting.

Bring back bunny thumpers! I was thinking the same thing myself, but I’d prefer a spear

My problem right now with ranger in pve is that if i attack something with bow it just keeps regening cause out of combat and if i do kill something from that range (cause lb is op dmg) i gotta go run to it anyhow to pickup the loot lol.

If anet wanted to improve ranger in pve they should make a toggle for loot drops at feet in other formats besides wvw.

This just me anyhow.

Oh and I think druids shooting vines will be very cool and op ;-)

Yeah, I don’t get why they made loot drop at your feet in WvW in that patch, but not in PvE.

It will look like it improved but it won’t.

Let’s hope I’m wrong.

Camp #1:
Everything is horrible and Ranger will never be better.

I find Camp #3 the most accurate :-p

Camp #1 will always be there until we get some sort of I-WIN button … and even then I imagine there will be something they complain about.

Camp #2 is overly optimistic :-p

I said it will look like improved so we will get our hopes up until the actual game comes out. Then we will realize is the same with another appearance and cry our eyes out.
