Guild Wars 2

So I engaged a lone necromancer I quickening zypher into a rapid fire. He then ran away. I knew I did a lot of damage and went back into the logs to see just how much damage I did. I totaled 30k damage done total. He only went to half health.

My question is, is the damage I’m seeing uncalculated by armor or damage reduction? Or is that straight damage? Cause if its straight damage he should of died easily.

Can someone please explain?

He could have changed to death shroud (pretty much a 2nd HP bar) in middle of the fight + heal/regen + maybe Lich form, all that mitigate damage.
Necros can take A LOT of damage.

This is a good question, Vhampire. I’d assume that ANET let’s you see the numbers before they’re discounted by toughness (so you get to see Big Numbas Yo), but I can’t say for sure without testing. Hopefully someone knowledgeable decides to comment.

Nope, it shows the damage actually dealt, necros have the most HP in the game since deathsroud is a second health bar AND it scales off of your vitality (so says my necro friend), so if he were running a Hybrid build and thus using Carrion armor he’d be a tough one to bring down…
