Ranger finishing moves
- Sun Spirit’s active (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Solar_Flare) could be used to counter Guardian/Warrior/Engi/Ranger/Necro #2 and safestomp. Bird pets can do the same (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blinding_Slash) but due to activation time and pet AI i don’t think it’s reliable enough.
- Rampage as One for stability. Should be self-explanatory.

In any kind of group fight I always use my wolfs fear to stomp or res someone.

yes … also Moa’s F2 ability will daze the enemy to death but is harder to use…
Shared anguish is great for stomping in a 1v1 situation as well.

yes! that’s the most important trait for me… but the huge internat cd makes it less effective… at least in hearth of the mists…
another combo is with spider pet (the one which give you a 2sec stun on demand)…
Run from someone up a hill and longbow #4 them off the ledge. Never gets old. I can’t believe this one wasn’t listed!
In group fights, placing a bonfire on a downed enemy is a great way to force the enemy team to give up on him, or eat a fair amount of damage to rez.
1. Burn him down with the 1h sword and don’t worry about getting the finisher off.
2. LB 3 then QZ (if you still have it)
3. Pet swap for quickness (if you have 30 BM)
4. Throw a ton of conditions on and go back to fighting other things

ahahaha man! that’s the most important… so important that can be implied in “long bow” term XD

2- very nice!
3- same as 2 but only if you get a condition build i guess
4- still only with a condition build XD
I’m a fan of the LB3 + Quickness to end them (30 in BM).
If they’re not on the point though I just put my pet on then and /dance as they bleed out and I get the point, denying them quick fight rejoining

For all of you suggesting quickness stakes. Know that there is a bug where even if you finish the animation, if quickness has already run out, you will not get the stomp unless you remain in the crouched position until they are registered dead.
A better way of saying it: animation will finish before stake registers.
Also, you can’t start stomping and then activate quickness….. I don’t know why.
Otherwise, learn all of the downed skills of other classes and learn what it looks like when the begin casting them, and dodge them. (Easiest is warrior)

Doesn’t that only happen when the quickness doesn’t cover the whole stomp?

Yes, so like the 30 BM trait will work only if you’ve activated it and immediately start the stomp.

It can happen on both, i know i’ve had it happen when i popped QZ so i could quickness stomp 3 people (friend gave me stability lol i was a machine) and i had to redo the first one =(
